Born and raised in Hamilton, and educated at University of Western Ontario, McMaster University and George Brown College, where he graduated from the Denturist program in 1991. Paul sat on the DAO (Denturist Association of Ontario) board, and the George Brown Advisory Committee. He was selected and performed as an examiner for the recent graduating years at George Brown College and is currently a member of the DGO (Denturist Group on Ontario).

Paul has been active in the community for 30+ years, coaching kids' soccer, sponsoring hockey players, fundraising for the church, Juravinski Cancer Centre and others. Paul is married for over 25 years to Debbie, with 3 children.
