Why do I need an exam each year if I don’t have any teeth?? We hear this a lot! But it is in your best interest to take care of the investment you’ve made in your denture.
Here is what Paul does for you when you come to see him for your annual exam:
* You have an opportunity to update Paul with any changes you have experienced throughout the past year. Health and weight changes contribute to the fit of your denture.
* Paul will re-check your BITE to see where you chew the most
* He will examine all the tissue in your mouth and use the VELscope if required for early cancer detection
* Paul will adjust clasps, repair crazing or cracking, and advise you of the condition of your denture, and the support structures for the denture in your mouth
Remember, you can’t feel bone loss or gum loss. Your mouth will tell you something is wrong, usually when it is too late.
